Destiny’s Child, a former R&B, POP & Hip-Hop girl group first began in Houston, Texas as Girl’s Tyme in 1990. By 1997 they were signed to Colombia records & released their 1^st big hit “No, No, No (Part 2)” featuring Wyclef Jean on their 1998 title album. In 1999 they released The Writing’s on the Wall widely considered their breakthrough album, it hit #6 on the US Billboard 200 with singles “Bills, Bills, Bills” & “Say My Name” winning the group their 1^st Grammy Awards. April of 2001, they released their 3^rd studio album Survivor with single “Independent Women Part I” featured on the Charlie’s Angels soundtrack & was a global success for the group as their 3^rd US Billboard Hot 100. The group made 2 more albums then dismembered in 2006 & Beyoncé, Kelly & Michelle went on to solo careers.
