Enzo Ferrari was an Italian entrepreneur, race car driver, & the founder of the legendary Ferrari automobile company. Ferrari began his career as a race car driver in the 1920s, competing for Alfa Romeo. By 1929 he founded Scuderia Ferrari as a racing team to support amateur drivers. At first, it raced Alfa Romeo cars not Ferrari cars. After leaving Alfa Romeo, Ferrari started producing his own cars under the Ferrari name. The first official Ferrari road car was released in 1947, Ferrari then became one of the most successful teams in Formula One history. Today, Ferrari is one of the most valuable & recognizable brands in the world.
