Grease is a romantic musical comedy set in the late 1950s. It follows the lives of high school students at Rydell High, focusing on the relationship between the two main characters Danny & Sandy who meet over the summer & fall in love, but they think they’ll never see each other again. When Sandy unexpectedly enrolls at Danny’s school, their romance hits a rough patch. Danny feels pressure to act “cool” in front of his friends & treats Sandy differently at school. Sandy struggles to fit in with Danny’s world, especially among the tough Pink Ladies (the girls’ clique). Both try to change themselves to win the other’s affection. The film is also known for its catchy iconic songs, “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’,” & “You’re the One That I Want”.
