Bench is widely regarded as one of the greatest catchers in baseball history. He played his entire Major League Baseball career with the Cincinnati Reds (1967–1983). Bench was the cornerstone of the Reds’ “Big Red Machine,” a team that dominated the National League in the 1970s.
