Kirk Gibson played for numerous teams during his career including the Detroit Tiger where in 198 he sealed the championship in Game 5 with a dramatic three-run shot off Goose Gossage & was a star outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1988 to 1990. In 1988 he was named the NL MVP & helped lead the Dodgers to a victory in the World Series. During Game 1 he hit a walk-off home run against Dennis Eckersley to give the Dodgers the 1988 Series Game 1 victory. It is still known as one of the most exciting moments in World Series history.
