Lucille Ball began her career in 1929 with modeling & Broadway then quickly moved onto acting in both B & A films through 1930-1940. In the late 1940s she eloped with Desi Arnaz & by 1951 they set off to stardom with the I Love Lucy sitcom. The show was the very 1st scripted program with a live audience & became one of the most successfully viewed television programs, widely regarded as one of history's most influential sitcoms. Ball was nominated for many awards throughout her acting career including winning an Emmy for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series & was honored with 2 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Desi Arnaz began his career in music touring with Latin band leader Xavier Cugat with his orchestra where Arnaz would sing & play the conga drum, he then started the Desi Arnaz Orchestra. By 1939 he was cast in the Broadway musical Too Many Girls & which would be adapted into a film, where he would then meet Lucille Ball as she had also been cast for the movie version.
