Michael J. Fox began his acting career early on as a child actor, but it wasn’t until he played Alex P. Keaton on the TV series Family Ties that his fame began to rise. During this time, he also began filming the Back to the Future films where he played his most notable character Marty McFly. He went on to star in many films such as Teen Wolf & Doc Hollywood, then made his TV series return with Spin City & voice acting, with the leading role in the Stuart Little films. Fox has been an advocate for Parkinson’s disease since his 1991 diagnosis in which he founded The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Among his many accolades Fox is a 4x Golden Globe Award winner, a 5x Emmy Awards winner & has received 1 Grammy Award. Fox was inducted to both the Canada Walk of Fame (2000) & Hollywood Walk of fame (2002).
