Stan Lee was a legendary comic book writer, editor, publisher, & producer best known for his work with Marvel Comics. He co-created many of Marvel’s most iconic superheroes, including Spider-Man, The X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, The Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Scarlet Witch & many more. Lee revolutionized comics by giving superheroes human flaws & emotions, making them more relatable. His characters often dealt with real-world issues like prejudice, addiction, & identity crises. He helped develop the “Marvel Method” of comic creation, which gave artists more creative freedom in plotting stories. Stan Lee became a beloved figure through his cameo appearances in Marvel movies & TV shows, earning him the nickname “The King of Cameos.” He was also known for his signature catchphrases like “Excelsior!”. Lee was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame (1994) & received the National Medal of Arts (2008).
