Dale Earnhardt was a famous race car driver & one of the greatest legends in NASCAR history. He won 7 NASCAR Cup Series championships, tying the record & earning 76 race wins in his career. Earnhardt died in a crash during the final lap of the Daytona 500 in 2001 at age 49. His death led to major safety improvements in NASCAR.
