Collins is a musician, singer, songwriter, & record producer, best known as the drummer & later lead vocalist for the rock band Genesis, as well as for his successful solo career. Collins joined Genesis in 1970 as a drummer & became the lead singer in 1975 after Peter Gabriel left. He launched a solo career in the 1980s, producing hits like In the Air Tonight, Against All Odds, & Another Day in Paradise. He has won multiple Grammy Awards, an Oscar for Best Original Song (You'll Be in My Heart from Disney's Tarzan), & is one of the few artists to sell over 100 million records both as part of a band & a solo artist.
