Niekro was an American Major League Baseball pitcher, widely regarded as the all-time greatest knuckleball pitcher. He played for the Milwaukee / Atlanta Braves (1964–1983), New York Yankees (1984–1985), Cleveland Indians (1986–1987), Toronto Blue Jays (1987) & the Atlanta Braves (1987). Niekro is a 5x All-Star, 5x Gold Glove Award recipient, Roberto Clemente Award recipient, MLB ERA leader & NL strikeout leader.
